How do you approach interior painting? Does your color selection process tend to fall on the “safe side”? Right now there is a growing appreciation for bold, stylish colors that can really make your walls come alive, and it can be a lot of fun to take a chance on a vibrant look.
Recently we had the opportunity to paint a freshly purchased four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Somersworth, NH. We needed to finish the painting quickly, squeezing the project into the few days between the closing and move-in date.
Everything went smoothly, but the color the customer wanted matched for their great-room threw us a bit of a curve ball. It was actually in a can without a label. That certainly makes the matching process a bit tricky! Thanks to the folks at Brooks Lumber in Rochester, NH, we were able to have the color matched perfectly to a California Paints burgundy. Because the homeowners’ needed an extra durable finish, we opted for the California Paints super scrub in a matte finish.
We think that the the room turned out very well, and that their color choice was fantastic! What do you think?
